Second Fishing trip to Mill Creek
Since the fishing hole on the creek was so pretty last time when we fished it last week, we decided to have a family picnic out there today. Harper actually fished this time for a while and caught a couple of fish herself. This is a rare thing for Harper as the last time I took her fishing she got bored reeling in a perch (Who gets bored reeling in a fish??). We had a picnic lunch, and spent much of the day fishing and exploring the creek. I saw some large carp and rigged up a dough ball to see if we could catch one. The first one I hooked broke off, but ended up catching a fairly large one. In fact, because I was fishing with spinning gear, it took nearly 20 minutes to wear it out enough to land it. Tucker helped get it out of the water, we took a picture of it, and of course through the nasty thing back.
